Grenoble, a city lying in an exceptional natural environment

Grenoble is lying in the middle of the Alps, close to Lyon (1 hour by car) and 3 hours from Paris by speed train (TGV).
At the heart of an outstanding natural location, the city is surrounded by 4 mountain chains Belledonne, Chartreuse, Oisans and Vercors at the crossing of valleys leading to Switzerland, Italy and mediterranean sea. This environment allows various outdoor activities (skiing, hiking, sailing) all the year long.
Grenoble is a dynamic city which offers a lively cultural and social scenary (music festivals, museums, theaters...).
